Enterprise Applicant Tracking System (ATS) modules usually have more than one sub-module. The most basic recruitment module will include functions such as Candidate Sourcing, Job Posting Distribution, and CV Parsing. Additional recruitment sub-modules could include Talent Intelligence, Candidate Relationship Management (CRM), and Onboarding.
Apart from these modules, companies would often look out for certain add-ons/features that they can integrate into their ATS systems. In this article, we share with you the most common features that our clients have enquired with us about.
1. Integrations with Job Boards
Job board integrations are for hirers to distribute job postings onto various job boards, and collect candidate CVs all via a single Applicant Tracking System (ATS) portal. Without this integration, hirers will have to manually post job postings onto each individual job board, and then manually draw candidate data from them.
ATS Vendors normally have a fixed number of job boards that they enable clients to integrate with free of charge. Beyond that, any additional job board that the customer requires will constitute additional charges.
One of the more popular additions is called Broadbean. Broadbean is a job board integrator that connects an ATS to 1000+ job boards. Purchasing this option saves hirers the hassle of purchasing and managing individual integrations with each job board that they are using.
2. Integrations with Online Assessment sites
Some companies use online assessment sites to aid their recruitment process. These companies would usually look for an ATS on which they could access, view, and evaluate candidate performance on the online assessments, all from a single platform.
3. Integrations with Social Media/WeChat
Quite a few of our customers have been interested in this feature, especially if their main recruitment drive is in China.
WeChat allows job information to be posted onto their platform via ATS platforms. This greatly extends a company’s hiring reach, and increases the ease of application for potential candidates. Candidates can then choose their desired job positions and upload their CVs onto the ATS platform, all via the WeChat app.
Cornerstone OnDemand is one of the few global HCM vendors who offers this WeChat integration for customers.
4. Integration with LinkedIn recruiter
This is a non-negotiable for all enterprise ATS users. Unsurprising due to the reliance of Talent Acquisition users on the LinkedIn platform around the world. Most enterprise ATS vendors would offer this integration.
5. System Languages
For companies with multiple offices globally, they might require additional system languages for their TA teams around the world.
Most enterprise ATS will offer two/three free languages of the customer’s choice. Any additional language required will be an additional charge.
6. Single Sign-On & DocuSign
Single sign-on is a feature that allows users to access multiple applications with one set of login credentials. This greatly eases the management of usernames and passwords for companies whereby users are operating multiple Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
DocuSign lets users send, sign and manage legally binding documents securely in the cloud. This is particularly useful in the TA function, where there is a lot of signing off required during different parts of the recruitment process.
Conclusion
Of course, there are many other features that have not been included in this article. However, these have been the main features that our clients have looked out for. It is important to take note of these features because they could very well vary your cost of procuring an ATS.
